In 2020, in the midst of a world searching for comfort, connection, and authenticity, Kotal was born—not just as a restaurant, but as a tribute to heritage.
Our name, Kotal, comes from Landi Kotal—a mountainous town rich in culture, history, and stories passed down through generations. Landi Kotal, nestled in the Khyber Pass, has long been a place where travelers found warmth in a cup of chai and nourishment in traditional meals prepared with love. That spirit lives on in every dish we serve.
The vision behind Kotal was simple: bring the soul of the region’s food to the modern table, while preserving the original flavors, techniques, and hospitality. We didn’t want to just open a restaurant—we wanted to build a place that felt like home for every food lover craving the taste of tradition.
Whether it’s the smoky aroma of our Shinwari BBQ, the subtle spices of our hand-marinated malai boti, or the nostalgic comfort of traditional desserts, every plate is a piece of heritage.
Our motto, “Taste of Heritage,” is more than a slogan. It’s a promise. A promise that no matter how far we go or how much we evolve, we stay rooted in where we came from.
Thank you for being part of our story—one delicious memory at a time.
